Photographed by Frank Shugrue, this rarest production still belongs to the personal collection of David Pal, George's elder son, who worked on the shooting of The Time Machine as a stop-motion animator, while his younger brother Peter played one of the Morlocks. It is  reproduced in the book George Pal: Man of Tomorrow by Justin Humphreys (BearManor Media, 2023). The first time we saw this photo was in  The Fantasy Film Worlds of George Pal the American documentary film produced and directed by Arnold Leibovit in 1985. It was there cropped, hidding George Pal on the left side, so we had thought it was a scene still.
